Marcin Sauter is a photographer, cinematographer, and film director. He was born in Bydgoszcz in 1971. He is a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers, and he has held several dozen individual photo exhibitions. He teaches at the Wajda School. He founded the Bydgoszcz Film Chronicle Foundation. He began his adventure with cinema in 1997 when he collaborated with Maciej Cuske on the feature I co wy na to, Gałuszko? before moving on to documentaries such as The Traveling Cinema (2005), North from Calabria (2009) and Hakawati (2011).
